heard this on Preston & Steve this am and called my fellow sports fans - hope to see you all on 2/8. Great concept - how will you launch the film (DVD's? Big screen production?) How would we get a copy if we love it on 2/8. I'll keep checking the site for updates. Thanks!
The screening event will be at the Chickie's and Pete's in South Philly (by the stadiums) - Thurs, Feb 8th, starting at 8pm.
We have not released a DVD yet as we are currently working on getting the documentary picked up by a national cable network. Come to the screening though and we'll give everyone updates on where we're at!

Good idea for a movie, I look forward to seeing it. One problem, the last championship was in 1985 when Villanova won the NCAA tournament not in 1983.
Obviously jimmi don't understand the curse! The curse is referring to the 4 MAJOR PROFESSIONAL sports teams in the city! Apparently jimmi isn't as frustrated as most TRUE PHILLY SPORTS FANS!
Besides Jimmi Villanova technically isnt Philadelphia. Its the main line suburbs and with all the other big colleges in and around this city it wouldn't exactly have been devastating had Nova lost. They don't represent our city. They only represent their school.
The only thing that this city's sports teams have been cursed with is HORRIBLE management, front office and ownership people. To name a few.. Harold Katz, Norman Braman, Bob Clarke, Bill Giles, Dave Montgomery, and Billy King
Does anybody know if there are going to be any more screenings anywhere anytime soon?
Can somebody tell the sixers to start losing? Here's my idea bench andre miller and igoudala and force them to lift weights and ride the bike on the sideline. They can come out and run the three man weave with carney during stopages of play.
It's probably true. For all we know there is some mythical curse that is preventing us from winning. The Phils look to have the best shot currently so we'll see. I do hesitate getting hyped just to get my balls stomped on but we'll see!!
Jimmi phoenix, dont include the main line here... also dont include, The Kixx, Phantoms, Wings, Soul, etc in the mix.. Its the big 4!! I was lucky to be part of 1980... cutting school with friends and taking the train to center city to celebrate with hundreds of thousands of people. It was something I hope to experience again. secondly, cant we negotiate with Comcast to get Billy moved atop their building? The Comcast building will be the tallest.. great publicity for those companies who want to do it for free... lift the vail and lift the curse of Billy Penn.. Sven.....Out

As far as breaking the curse, has anyone considered holding a séance in the Spectrum parking lot with Derrick Coleman, Von Hayes, and Rich Kotite?
After months of rooting for the sixers to lose at least the phillies are listening. Can they draft durant?

well they just put old billy atop the comcast center so maybe the curse is lifted =] and is there a date for this to be released on dvd?
wow this movie was terrible
Wondering when a DVD will be available?? I saw the film awhile back and was thoroughly entertained.
